Since the signing of the agreement between DGT and DVLA on 16th March 2023 it is now possible to exchange a UK issued driving licence for a Spanish one without the need to take a Spanish driving test.
For anyone who was already resident but did not manage to exchange their licence before the cut off date post Brexit there is a 6-month grace period from this date to exchange your licence.
For new residencia and Visa applicants the 6-month grace period does not apply.
